CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY
Ah, the Etherium. The not-so-little pocket of space filled with it's own atmosphere. Seven had never thought one of the many planets dotting the expanse to be her home specifically. As a child of a species unknown with no known family and little else to call her own she soon found herself roped into piracy at a young age to survive. Her transgressions started off small, nothing more than an orphan pick-pocketing through the hustle and bustle of the local spaceports. Though soon enough she gained the wrong sort of attention in the from what most saw to be the scum of the universe.
The ability to steal was a skill coveted by those in the underground; and Seven's natural affinity for it landed her in the hands of a pirate crew as little more than a cabin girl to start. It was a tough life, but one that hardened her to the worst conditions known to sentient life. While at times harsh and unforgiving the group she found herself working under took the time to teach her the ins and outs of sailing, knowledge that her young and impressionable mind soaked up without hesitation. Though her fellow crew mantes were tolerable, she couldn't say the same for their captain. Even the ship's resident pokemon were cold to her.
Captain Barslow was an avaricious and cruel man. Someone who'd sooner condemn you to death if it meant achieving material gain. So naturally Seven did her best to steer clear of him. While flippant and blunt to a fault she wasn't entirely stupid and did in fact value her life. However, what she didn't know was the ulterior motive he had for her admission into the crew. The girl knew well enough she hadn't seen anyone the likes of herself, surprising considering the vast species that littered the Etherium. Barslow had it in his mind to gain what he could from her services before eventually selling her off as a slave.
As the years past and the experiences of pirate life became more ruthless it molded Seven into a power not to be trifled with lightly. Having worked her way up the ranks she earned the respect of her crew, Barslow being the exception. Her moral compass ran askew with each act of ransacking and theft that eventually it made her develop a deep lust for wealth. An unfortunate thing that they weren't permitted to keep anything of value. All that went to the captain's personal stores.
Now. Mutiny was always a thing vastly frowned upon by pirates, unless it was seen as 'justified'. As justified as a pirate could perceive at least. So when Seven caught wind of her predetermined fate one evening during a discussion with the captain and him first mate, there was a fine line that had been crossed. Seven was no longer the little pick-pocketing orphan who stowed away on cargo ships off to the next nearest planet. She'd become a young woman who had no qualms about shivving a transgressor if it meant making then shut the hell up. Thankfully she wasn't the only one who was beginning to have doubts about their captain.
If she were stupid enough to go against Barslow along there's no doubt she'd have failed. Died? Perhaps not. He was a man who enjoyed invoking pain on others. Luckily she didn't have to. With more than half the crew at her back, those who'd actually come to be attached to her and vice versa, they made quick work of the remaining few who stood by their captain. Seven had no second thoughts when it came to delivering the killing Barslow. It came as a relief that the man was no longer overhead. And the scenario took an unexpected turn when the crew's remaining members decided to stick Seven in the position, something she quite happily took.
